Making a donation is a powerful act of kindness that has the potential to transform lives and create lasting change. By contributing to our cause, you become an integral part of our mission to improve the lives of those in need.
Through the power of sports and the lessons learned through them, we aim to create an empowering environment to help kids learn the fundamentals of social responsibility, financial literacy, and how to become the best possible version of themselves. We help youth understand the importance of discipline and drive, as well as help them gain the proper tools, education, resources, emotional support, and access needed for them to reach their full potential and embrace their perfectly imperfect identity.
Incorporating financial literacy, we equip these young minds with essential skills in managing finances, understanding budgeting, saving, and investing, which are crucial for their future. This holistic approach ensures that they are not only physically and emotionally strong but also financially savvy, preparing them for the diverse challenges of life.
The event, July 31, 2023, organized by Shea Stanley and Santia Deck, the co-founders of the Perfectly Imperfect organization was top tier! The foundations mission is to impact youth ages 12-17 positively by nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs through investing time speaking about entrepreneurship, wealth building, and financial literacy. Sports have the power to transform lives, especially for at-risk youth. Through teamwork, discipline, and resilience, young athletes build confidence, develop vital life skills, and find a sense of belonging. We harness this potential to empower every young person to reach their dreams!
Financial literacy is crucial for youth, as it lays the foundation for smart money management and future success. Shockingly, 60-80% of professional athletes lose all their money within five years of retirement. By teaching young people the principles of financial literacy today, we can empower the next generation of leaders and athletes to make informed decisions, avoid pitfalls, and build a secure financial future.
Mentorship can transform the lives of youth and teens by enhancing academic performance, boosting self-esteem, and fostering essential life skills. Those without mentors often face challenges such as lower academic achievement, reduced confidence, and limited networking opportunities. We believe, by investing in mentorship the next generation are better equipped to thrive and reach their full potential.
Empowering youth to check in with themselves is crucial for mental wellbeing. By collaborating with community professionals, we support young individuals in practicing mindfulness, enhancing self-awareness, managing stress, and building resilience. It truly takes a village—together, we can prioritize mental health for everyone.
